Guest Speaker at the MD/DC Annual Meeting in May, 2009 was Maria Montano of Venezuela, who spoke about “El Sistema,” the free public orchestra music eduation system in that country.

Peggy Houng performed at the MD/DC Annual Meeting in May 2009. Peggy was a finalist in the ASTA 2009 National Solo Competition.

This wonderful State Basket was one of the items for the Silent Auction at the ASTA Conference, March 2009, in Atlanta. The basket was made from a tiny cello and donated to MD/DC Chapter by Dalton Potter.
